Windows XP

Can you recommend pc and server configurations settings that are appropriate for Job Tracker? We recently upgraded all users to P4 XP computers and our server to Win2k. We thought performance would increase. Instead, we have the same problems with the application crashing when saving estimates, adding resources to schedules, or even when opening new jobs.

We have C&P 5.0.4 rolled out on several PC's. Only one machine (running Windows 2000) displays the correct version of C&P in the splash screen. All the others display version 5.0. Does anyone happen to know why this is?

I am trying to determine a way to remove the MSN Explorer icon from the desktop on a Windows XP PC. When I delete it and then perform a "Sysprep" the icon is placed back onto the desktop. I do not want to delete MSN Explorer, just the icon.

I have read that Microsoft mandates that the MSN Explorer and Windows Media Player icons remain on the desktop. This is in response to a lawsuite from AOL requesting that Netscape be placed on the desktop.
