Could I have your input on the type of email system you use. We are on Microsoft Exchange server with Microsoft Outlook 2000 as a client.

We are on a Novell network so that we can do cross-platform with Mac and PC. That gives us Groupwise for an Email ... which is more robust than Microsoft Outlook so immune to some of the viruses that replicate themselves in an Outlook address book.
Netware 6 is just upgrading the client for the Mac Email, too.

Same here. Exchange 5.5 on Outlook 2000. Going to Exchange 2000 early next year. IMHO, a good solution for small and medium sized businesses. Lotus Notes certainly is more robust and better cross platform but the price tag is a killer unless you can spread it out across a 150+ user base. Sendmail is certainly a low cost (free) option if all you need is POP and SMTP and have no need for calendars, contact lists and the like, but then you need a Linux box. Maybe not worth it if you are already a Microsoft shop.

Advice, Inc. is utilizing Internet Email with their own domain name. This allows all users to check their email from anywhere that they have a internet connection. Each desktop and laptop PC uses Microsoft Outlook 2000 to send and receive email.

We use Exchange Server 5.5. PCs use Outlook 2000 and the Macs use Outlook 2001. We have had very good results with these and with using C&P email functions.

We use QuickMail Pro as our e-mail server and Outlook Express as our e-mail clients. We chose QuickMail Pro because it runs on a Mac and has a nice feature that auto-archives all incoming/outgoing e-mail to a FileMaker database.

We are a Mac agency and use Eudora and Outllook for email clients. With X we are switching to MS Entourage. Our mail server is a linux box running sendmail and ipop. Never a problem.
