Setting up Status Codes

Can anyone relate a good "starting point" list of status codes for setting up the traffic portion of Clients & Profits?

We used to have "status codes" like new, in production, etc. &nbs=;then we switched to using a staff members name. stuff moves too quic=ly to keep up with status' however, major stuff may get clogged at someone'= desk, so we move the status to that person, and write a status note regard=ng what we need. i.e. job is open and need input, we put status to th= a.e. with that note, then during traffic that person has to explain why th=y don't have information yet and when they will have it. I'll be happ= to send you a copy of our status report. Staff pulls daily in additi=n to their work to do's to see if they are holding up a job. nobody l=kes to be in the hotseat on traffic day!!!! (also helps supervisors w=o can pull status reports daily by client or staff member and see how thing= are moving). good luck....

We just started using these ourselves and we first had to decided how detailed we wanted it to be and how we would use it. Meaning ex:

5 New biz 10 Planning 20 Media 30 Creative 40 Production 50 Billing 60 Closed

If we got to detailed it was hard for a small company like us to keep up with and also we might have more then one thing going on in say Production. So someone would always have to be updating it hourly. Hope this helps!
