Job Revisions
I have recently taken over traffic/production
here and I have a question about how other agencies are handling
job revisions. How are revisions being documented and communicated
to production personnel? I have been looking at the change order
in C & P;
it appears to be used for advising clients of changes, but I have
been entering job revisions in there and printing them out for
our production department. Thanks, Michelle

I use the change order in the same manner. A copy goes to production
and a copy goes to the AE.

We put all job revisions into the work
order so that we have a full history of the job. The only time
I would use a change order is to communicate to the client and
our production staff that there is change in direction of the
job and that we're all on the same page.

We've been using the "job diary" entry
to note job revisions, client approvals, and even for basic conference
reports. Each job diary entry can be emailed to those assigned
to the job, and the entry remains on the job's record for future
