Do you use Tapscan? We have been trying to use the Media Link with it and have had no luck.
Thanks,

we have been using Tapscan/TVscan for over a year, we still have problems with the exporting to C&P which in some cases takes hours to make it work.

Tapscan Users
Feel free to call and ask for me or Mike so that we can help you work through these issues. Myself and Mike Ferguson handle the Media Link support. The current version of the Media Link is 4.1 and it imports both broadcast and print orders, as well as vendor A/P, fine (as it is designed).
In that I don't know the problems you are experiencing, we will need to hear from you to work through the issues. Problems tend to fall into three categories: USER ERROR (e.g. wrong values are entered into Tapscan causing export files that won't import into C&P due to the built-in Media Link error checking), PROGRAM ERROR (e.g. Tapscan may not be exporting correctly according to the Standard Media Interface specs on our website or you have an old version of the Media Link that doesn't import as well as the current version), or a LIMITATION in what the Media Link can do (e.g. billed orders in C&P can't be imported again when a revision is generated in Tapscan and exported a second time).
I have found with our other Media Link users, after a few weeks of figuring out how it works, importing into C&P tends to run smoothly. If it ends up being a problem with how Tapscan exports the files, then pressure from their clients is the best way to get their R&D department to fix the problem, but we first need to determine that this is the problem.
