Job Profitability Reports

03:07pm Dec 11, 2000 PST (#1 of 4)

Does anyone else pull job profitability reports which includes all billings, costs and time so that you get an accurate gross margin?

If you use the job profitability report with-in snapshots and do by project, by client etc. it only pulls costs through the date range that you are giving it.

Is there a report you can pull which will give you all billings, all costs internal and external so that you can get an accurate gross margin % on a completed job?

If anyone knows a better way, please e:mail me.

If you run the profitability reports by work date, yes it only pulls costs and billing for that date range. However, you can also run the reports by date added, start date, due date, and date closed. These options pull all costs & billing for job regardless of the cost or billing date. I think this is what you looking for.

Run the same reports from Snapshots. Instead of running for a range of Work Dates, click on Work Date and change it to Date Closed. You can look at the Profitability of all the jobs that you closed last month. The Start Date, Open Date, Due Date and Date Closed options will pull all of the cost and billing information for the selected jobs.

Our agency would like to submit a report to our clients that illustrates the estimated hours versus the actual hours through out a project. All reports that I have seen also show cost, profits etc. Is there a simple report that only shows the hours?
