Billing Question

07:37am Nov 14, 2000 PST (#1 of 5)

When you pull down a WIP-billing hot sheet, is there any way to specify a time frame? We bill the last day of the month, however, if I wait until the 2nd or 3rd of the following month before I begin, I have hours that have been added on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Is there any thing that you can pull down that will allow you to bill only the hours for a single month? I've pulled productivity reports, but that means deducting the added times from the correct categories for each billing amount.

This is one of the reasons why I don't use the billing hot-sheet. I prefer to use the job cost reports found either in snapshots/job costs or job tickets/job reports/job accounting. That way I can see what date my unbilled costs are from, and include/exclude the dates I want. Also, it gives me enough detail to tell me if there is some sort of potential billing problem with the costs before the bill goes to the AE to check.

We run the jub cost report for the month, which allows you to specify both dates and periods.

The problem with this approach is if you have purchase orders that you want to bill, or if you have costs that were held over from the previous month they won't show up.
