A job's status, next steps,
due date, and milestones can be easily and quickly updated while adding
time to your time card
Status codes classify jobs, such as new, in production,
awaiting approval, and ready to bill. Traffic notes describe anything
about a jobs progress, such as the results of client meetings.
But milestones give you real information.
To update a jobs traffic status while entering time
1 Open your time card or time sheet.
2 Enter a job number, press Tab, then click on the show
traffic link.
The Update Traffic window opens, displaying the jobs traffic
and status information.

3 Make your changes, then click Save.
To close a job while working in your time card
A job ticket can be closed while youre working
anywhere in Clients & Profits X from your time card. Jobs can be
closed while youre entering the days time. The Update
Traffic pop-up window lets you change the jobs production status
and billing status, plus update the traffic notes. Changing the jobs
production status to your closed status (e.g., 999) checks the jobs
Closed box.
1 Choose My > Time Card.
2 Enter the job number, then press tab.
3 Click on the update traffic link.
4 From the Traffic pop-up window, change the jobs production
status to 999 (or your closed status).
5 Click OK, then continue entering your time.
Any job on the time card can be closed the same way. To close a job
without entering hours, simply enter the job number then leave the
task and hours empty.
