Profit Centers

Does anyone use profit centers? My company recently merged with a printer- and I'm trying to convince the new addition to come on board with C&P, utilizing each division as a profit center. Does anyone have any advice or experience in dealing with divisions?

We did use profit centers, and it works great. You can print consolidated financial statements or separate profit centers. The only disadvantage is that your chart of accounts is long, pretty long..

And you have to be careful that your journal entries debit and credit the same profit center..
