                  hen you have a savvy and sophisticated
                  advertising agency with a rapidly expanding and impressive
                  client list like Lambesis,
                  Inc., keeping control can be challenging. "Profit control
                  and/or profit success are the terms I would use to describe
                  Clients & Profits Pro," says Vicki Hoekstra, a CFO (and
                  a principal) for the Del Mar, California-based shop. 
                   
                  Doing everything by hand
              
 Already a veteran in the advertising
                  world, Vicki and husband, Nick Lambesis, began their successful
                  agency nine years ago. By late 1989 their shop was flourishing. "But,
                  we were still doing everything by hand," Vicki says. "I was
                  working in four different areas, doing everything from production
                  to posting accounts receivable and payables."
               Knowing their agency would soon
                  face impossible gridlock without computers and a reliable accounting
                  system, Nick suggested they contact Clients & Profits,

                  "He'd read about Clients & Profits
                  somewhere and suggested we give them a call," Vicki says.
              
 Even though she was learning
                  the Macintosh at the same time (which had just started becoming
                  popular in advertising agencies), it only took Vicki a few
                  months to feel comfortable with Clients & Profits.
               From two to 40 people in nine
                    years
               In the past nine years, they've
                  progressed from a two-person shop to forty employees, working
                  with national and international clients creating print ads,
                  television commercials, collaterals, market research, logos,
                  package design, and upon occasion, product development for
                  the fashion and footwear, sporting goods and cosmetic industries.
