UPGRADED MY CLIENTS & PROFITS WEB SERVER OFFERS WEB-BASED PROPOSALS
New My Clients & Profits! 5.0 includes real-time access to company calendars, client contacts
September 8, 2003 -- OCEANSIDE, CA -- Clients & Profits, Inc. today upgraded its My Clients & Profits! web server, adding over 50 enhancements as well as compatibility with many of the best features found in its new Clients & Profits 5.0 release.
My Clients & Profits! 5.0 is an add-on web server for a Clients & Profits that enables creatives, account executives, freelancers, clients, and vendors real-time access to a shop's Clients & Profits database. First released in 1999, My Clients & Profits is now used by thousands of agency staff members for logging time, adding expense reports, and managing jobs from any Internet-enabled web browser.
The free upgrade, available now for Windows and Macintosh, features the ability to add client proposals, view a client's contacts, print job timelines, track jobs using the new Production Planner, and make entries into the multi-user company and personal calendars.
"My Clients & Profits! makes it especially easy for staff members to log their hours. "They can even do their time card from home if they have to," says San Francisco-based consultant Robert Roll. "My Clients & Profits! denies them any more excuses."
Unlike other web-based time and work flow systems, only My Clients & Profits! is built onto a proven production/accounting system. Since these ASP-based systems only provide a single function, such as a time tracking, they can't manage the entire job life-cycle that My Clients & Profits! handles effortlessly.
"My C&P! is a great way to get production and traffic people into Clients & Profits who are still stuck using Excel, post-it notes, and job books to manage jobs," says Donna Lynn Johnson, an Atlanta-based consultant. "They can add jobs, enter schedules, and print status reports right from their web browser."
My Clients & Profits! has no monthly fee. The web server's one-time cost also handles an unlimited number of users -- a rarity among web-based applications.
"Charging a one-time price, which we've always done, just made sense to us," says Mark Robillard, Clients & Profits' designer. "Our clients don't charge more just because their clients grow, so how could we? It would just make us look greedy."
