Clients & Profits Worldwide publishes Clients & Profits,
business software for advertising agencies, graphic design firms,
and in-house design departments. Since 1986, over 2,200 shops have
managed their clients, jobs, and finances with Clients & Profits.
They've made it the best-selling agency management software for
Macintosh and Windows. The 26-person company is a based in Oceanside,
California (near San Diego).

Mar., 1986: Clients & Profits 1 is developed for a small agency in
Los Angeles as an in-house job management system.
Jan., 1987: Clients & Profits 2 ships at the MacWorld Expo in San
Francisco. Features basic job tickets, job costing, and client billing,
but no general ledger.
Apr., 1988: Clients & Profits 3 ships. Includes a general ledger,
financial reports, and purchase orders.
May, 1988: Multi-user Clients & Profits 3 ships.
Nov., 1988: The 100th Clients & Profits program ships.
Jan., 1989: Clients & Profits 4 ships.
Oct., 1990: Clients & Profits ez ships. Offers entry-level job tracking,
costing, and billing for small agencies and design studios.
Dec., 1990: Clients & Profits PLUS ships. Includes a fiscal-year
general ledger, profit centers, and enhanced trafficking.
Aug., 1991: The 500th Clients & Profits program ships
April, 1993: Pre-release version of Clients & Profits Pro ships for
on-site testing
Jan., 1994: Clients & Profits Pro 1.0 ships. A complete re-write;
faster, more powerful, customizable; for both Mac and Windows
May 1995: Job Tracker 1.0 ships. Offers the same job tracking as , but
without billing and accounting
Sept., 1995: Clients & Profits Classic 1.0 ships. Based on C&P
Pro, this version replaces Clients & Profits 4.4 and Clients & Profits
PLUS.
Dec., 1995: Clients & Profits Pro 2.0 ships. A major upgrade to our
flagship software, with over 500 enhancements.
Sept., 1996: Clients & Profits Classic 2.0 ships.
Jan., 1997: Clients & Profits Pro 2.3 ships.
Feb, 1998: 1,500th client buys Clients & Profits.
March, 1998: Clients & Profits Pro 3.0 released.
July, 1998: Clients & Profits Classic 3.0 released.
Sept, 1998: Clients & Profits Media Link interfaces media buys with
Strata, SmartPlus, and TAPSCAN.
March, 1999: San Diego Business Journal lists Clients & Profits,

June, 1999: The Clients & Profits Helpdesk takes its 250,000th support
call.
Sept., 1999: Clients & Profits SQL 1.0 for Oracle 8 is released.
Nov., 1999: Clients & Profits Pro 4.0, Clients & Profits Classic

Sept. 2000: My Clients & Profits!, an add-on web server for Clients & Profits,
